Jesus Says – Stop Doing things In Your Own Strength, Rely On Me
January 25, 2010 by Lynne Lee
The Lord is never late, He always arrives at just the right time with just the right things in His hands. You can never take Him by surprise because He knows the end from the beginning. He is all seeing, all hearing and all knowing. Think about that. There is nowhere where He isn’t, there is nothing that He doesn’t know.
The Lord says, watch and be astounded at what I do.I am doing something you wouldn’t believe even if I told you about it.
Make sure that you are not relying on your own strength to carry you through. Rely instead on Me, rely on my strength. Watch and see what I will say to you. Write down what I tell you so you have a record and so that it is plain to see.
If the promise seems slow in arriving, wait patiently with faith in your heart because it will surely take place. Everything is unfolding right on time.
Stop trusting in yourself and iin your own abilities, stop trying to do my work for me. Live by faith, wait for me and my timing. Remind yourslef of all theamazing things I have done, stir your faith and expect me to help you. Everything about me is everlasting. My resources never run out.
Even when you do not see what you expect to see even when everything seems hopeless, rejoice in me. Look with eyes of faith. I am your salvation and your provision and your strength, and I will bring you through.
I waited and waited and waited for God. At last he looked; finally he listened.
He lifted me out of the ditch,
pulled me from deep mud.
He stood me up on a solid rock
to make sure I wouldn’t slip.
He taught me how to sing the latest God-song,
a praise-song to our God.
More and more people are seeing this:
they enter the mystery,
abandoning themselves to God.
Blessed are you who give yourselves over to God,
turn your backs on the world’s “sure thing,”
ignore what the world worships;
The world’s a huge stockpile
of God-wonders and God-thoughts.
Nothing and no one
comes close to you!
I start talking about you, telling what I know,
and quickly run out of words.
Neither numbers nor words
account for you.
Doing something for you, bringing something to you—
that’s not what you’re after.
Being religious, acting pious—
that’s not what you’re asking for.
You’ve opened my ears
so I can listen…Psalm 43 The Message
