Hi, I have taken a lesson from what happened to and can agree with the hymnist John Newton that
Though dark be my way, since He is my Guide,
"tis mine to obey, "tis His to perform;
Though cisterns be broken and creatures all fail,
The words He hath spoken shall surely prevail.
His love in time time past forbids me to think,
He'll leave me at last in trouble to sink;
While each Ebenezer I have in review confirms His good pleasure to help me quiet through.
Since all that You meet shall work for your good, the bitter is sweet, the medicine food;
Though painful at present, 'twill cease before long,
You will have conqueror's song .

God bless you

I have so appreciated precious friends during this time. I have a faithful group of friends who are transporting Barney to school and regularly cooking for us.

So much blessing is coming out of me being laid up at home and it's amazing to see God's provision in the midst of physical trial.

Amazing story, Lynne, and we're so glad you're back with us. It's beautiful to see how the body of Christ responds in times like this.
Wish we were closer to be able to help even more.
God bless,
Jerry

Thank you, Lynn, for giving me this address. What a horrific accident on such a beautiful walk, and what a glorious message from our Lord.
May you continue to heal perfectly and I know that you shall for you are in His will.

I can remember some 4 1/2 years ago when my Husband was helping a friend of ours clean out her gutters. He was hurrying which for him was never a good idea. I am the hare and he is the turtle. Both work well together I might add, LOL. Anyway he was our only source of income at the time. I was networking for his new and growing company as he did the home inspections. 911 happened, we sold our home for greener pastures and moved close to his family.

Fighting all the way and leaving a $150,000 income I followed my Husband and his decisions. Just 30 days previous to this day his brother had stolen $26,000 of the house sale money and we were living with another couple that were going to leave the country in a few months and we would rent their home. Oops, he fell off the ladder shattering his right wrist. See, told you moving fast is not good. :) The couple we lived with were told they would be leaving the country now instead of 6 months and my husband is now in the hospital for 5 days and a 4 1/2 hour surgery to put a plate and 9 screws in it to keep it together.

Homeless we were now and no where to go. No children, that was good but bad when you are asking for food stamps and help from the state. A few days in the car and friends from another state came and got us after hearing through the grapevine we were stranded. The move was across the country back to the Midwest from the warm West where we had a party to burn all the snow equipment when we left the Midwest which we thought was the last time. Another chuckle. It was not the happy end of the story this move with "the friends" who ended up not being the people we remembered from long ago and we did make our way out of their house, well really we ran to be exact, but started our journey of financial recovery as well as licking our wounds in more ways than one.

I chuckled when I read your story thinking of the many thoughts you have had since you fell and I think of the journey that you will take with the love of my life and what sounds like yours Jesus Christ. As I walked in the what I thought was a never ending journey I learned to walk WITH my Lord and not turn around to see the miracles but actually felt them as they happened one at a time. I learned to enjoyed the most simplest things that He gave me as we traveled together. I smile at the wonderful things that you will learn and I am thrilled thinking of the rich relationship you have yet to discover.

My yoke is easy He said. It is only when you walk side by side with Him through these kinds of life journeys that you understand why it is easy because of that yoke. He certainly told you the truth by telling you the why, some don't stop long enough to listen. You are 1,000 miles ahead of them already. SO...now rest in Him, THIS is a wonderful journey you are on, just wonderful. My prayers are for your mending and your growth.

Lynne:

This is the first blog of yours that I have read, and I have to tell you it was extremely inspiring to me. I, too, have been going through some physical trials for quite a while and have prayed for relief but did not see the answers (at least not the way I wanted to!). I was starting to doubt everything, even my own faith! But your post truly inspires me that God indeed still loves me and is with me, and is in control as He is working things out according to His (not my) plan! :)

Thank you for your website. It is such a blessing. I love the 5 Minute Life Coach articles so much!

Many blessings,
Paulette

Lynne
Thank you for sharing your painful experience and enlightenment, and I too loved your question and answer. As it often can, it resonates with some of us I am sure - me for one. It is certainly my intention to let go of things and welcome in fun this year. Have fun playing

Marion and Oma thank you for leaving comments.

I guess there are times when I wish that God didn't trust me to handle quite so much :) My life is rarely easy or comfortable, but it is rich and I'm always amazed to see how God leads me through 'impossible' circumstances.
